Local Gossip
I recently relocated my studio and home to the beautiful Southend on Sea! Already I've met some really brilliant artists, all of whom have been super welcoming and encouraging. Being a newcomer means people quickly help you get up to speed with local gossip. Over many cups of tea and pints of lemonade we've shared frustrations with the sector, pondered the lack of programming and opportunities for performance in this part of the world and dreamt up plans that for fill our art dreams.
Responding to feedback from some local show offs that we could do with a space for information sharing - we're trailing a regular meet up for art weirdoes.
Local Gossip is a nomadic monthly meeting for Southend artists, makers, faciliatators and do-ers to talk about their work, share knowledge and spread gossip - somewhere between a forum, coffee morning and therapy. This is your chance to meet other artists you usually only see when you’re drunk at a private view or on the internet when you’re on the stalk.
